Hope everyone has a Happy New Year.  Be safe out there on New Year's Eve!

Tonight, we plan on having some friends over and possibly heading out to a nearby casino for the countdown.  Maybe I'll start 2010 on a lucky foot.

Let's take a looksie at the resolutions I made at the beginning of 2009.  Click HERE for my old post.

My successes:
Paid off the truck
Maxed the IRA, and Hubby's IRA to boot!
Paid down Home Equity Loan - sorta, we refinanced it with our mortgage.
Got active - I'm taking a twice a week exercise class for preggy ladies.

I'm still working on:
Emergency Fund - I had my $3000 socked away, but tapped into it for home improvements over the Summer.  I'm still building it back up and am pretty close.  But the $10,000?  HA!  Not even close.  I do have to defend myself, however, lest you think we're broke while starting our family.  We are both contributing lots into our retirement funds.  And with tax laws skewed towards couples with children, we'll be getting some tax breaks (finally!) which will allow us to adjust our withholding and have a bit more cash flow.
