We haven't even had it that long, but our computer died. After a call to tech support, they determined that we couldn't fix it ourselves. A tech was sent over to replace some parts - they think it was either the motherboard or the power supply.
Whew! That makes me feel better, because that means that it wasn't anything we did and that the hard drives are OK. This is important because we had just transferred the Super Bowl game from the TiVo to the computer and deleted it off the TiVo. It would then be lost forever.
So the tech came over, replaced the board. Thinks he saw what the problem could have been - a part that wasn't attached properly. After all that, we're up and running. Currently, I'm downloading the special DVD burning software that will allow me to put the TiVo programs onto DVD and watch them in a DVD player. YAY!
